The Twilight Series

So, I began reading these 4 books 2 years ago.  I bought the first one, Twilight, at an airport because I had forgotten whatever book I was reading at home.  I kid you not, I read this booth the first day of my trip.  By the time I got to my destination, I was half way through it.  When I got home, I went and bought the rest of the books (New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn) and read them in the weekend.  It was nuts!  New Moon, not my favorite by the way.  Eclipse was much better and Breaking Dawn was amazing!

Now, I know these books were meant for teenage girls, but I love them.  I've read the entire series at least 100 times now.  I get lost in the love story.  The gravitational pull between Bella and Edward makes me wish for a 10th of what they have.  I've been in love before, but have never really felt loved.  That is why I read these.  It leaves me with the hope that one day, my Edward will find me.

Now the movies.  I've seen the 3 that have been produced so far, and have them all.  I didn't like how much they deviated from the book in the Twilight movie.  I remember watching it with my sister, Nina, and complaining the entire time about the silly differences they did.  New Moon and Eclipse were closer to the book though, so I was happy.  I didn't really like Robert Pattinson (sp?) at first, but he's grown on me.  I'd really like it if he would do an album.  He has the most amazing whispy voice and piano skills.

All in all, if you crave energizing love stories, these books are for you.  If you hate love and wish it would go away, maybe read something else.  I give the series ****!  The movies, maybe ***.

Are You There Vodka? It's Me Chelsea

I bought this book on my Amazon Kindle to read on the many flights I have to take for my job. I had intended for it to lastme a few trips, but I finished it in 1 trip! Chelsea's tv always makes me laugh hysterically, so I figured her books might be good. I didn't realize just how hilarious they would be, or at least this one is. Each chapter is an insanely funny situation she had been in. The way she nicknames people gives anyone with a brain and good sense of humor a visual they will never forget. Thank you Chelsea for making my flights filled with screaming children, smelly fat men, and sick elderly people way more tolerable. I can't wait to get another book!
